Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy

Resistances in fuel cells from component connections, slow reaction kinetics, mass transfer, proton resistivity, or electrical resistivity can be measured by Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS).  this technique is carried out using a PAR Bi-STAT equipped with a frequency response analyzer.  Both solid oxide and proton exchange membrane fuel cells can be analyzed with this technique.
